The Cruise Vessel Security and Safety Act of 2010 requires transparency, accuracy, and timeliness in reporting of incidents to entities such as the FBI and the US Coast Guard. In anticipation of this act becoming law, the SwordPoint team was asked by a major cruise line to develop an efficient and user friendly system that would satisfy all their needs.

Campus administrators and safety experts grapple with the complexity of compliance, risk management, security, and data management. The Clery Act, the Patriot Act, the Family and Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), and the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) have compliance requirements. To make matters more confusing some requirements of FERPA can be waived to administer SEVIS. SwordPoint has developed an efficient and user friendly system to meet these needs.
